The last month of the year. December. So much is going on. For most people, their heads are spinning, Shopping, gifts, meals and MORE. Add to that working, children and LIFE, it’s a LOT.
At Citywide, our busy Medicare Enrollment time ends December 7th. After that, we again are concentrating on all our other services that we offer. We offer real estate in addition to insurances. Our website can explain all that we do in limited terms, so we always welcome your phone calls with your questions. But we too need to wind down as you all do too.
We all are exhausted. From running a marathon in shopping malls for the perfect Christmas presents, to countless hours at work wrapping up year-end projects and planning for the New Year, to planning parties and hosting guests. We are exhausted, and it’s time to unwind from the holiday stress.
Here are some ways to “de-stress” after the Holidays:
See a new release movie
We tend to prioritize others first during this festive season – but now the season is over, it is time to start paying attention to our own needs. Leave the house, watch anything you want, and escape reality for a few hours.
Pamper yourself
When was the last time you had a good massage? Allow your body to relax as the stresses get kneaded out of your back, neck, legs and feet. Find a local masseuse and book an appointment to make sure you get some “me” time.
Unplug
Disconnect yourself from the Internet and turn off your phone. Even pull the power cord from the TV and go for a walk or do something creative like writing or drawing. Regain some of the passion, energy, creativity that often gets diminished that we allow ourselves to get sucked into our phones, computers, televisions, and other devices.
Take a day trip
There are plenty of fantastic, hidden gems like Amish Country and Canaan Valley within a couple of hours drive from most places . Find your local treasure, and hit the road for a beautiful, peaceful day away.
Read
Curling up with a good book and reading at your own pace can be the ultimate relaxation activity. Buy yourself a new book or read one you get for Christmas with a cool glass of iced tea or wine as a beautiful way to spend your day.
Make sure you give yourself some extra love this Christmas and relax – because hey, isn’t that what the holidays are for?
And, with the start of the upcoming New Year, now is the time to go over all your insurances and re-evaluate your coverage along with your needs. Let Citywide help. We can offer our expertise to help you save money and to help you feel safe and secure knowing you are covered in case of an emergency!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Great New Year!!
